Below are a few selected photos from the Official Book Launch Party for The Fire. The soirée was held in a unique location in Georgetown, Washington, DC.
Among my co-hosts was Grandmaster Susan Polgar. Susan was the first female player to qualify for the male Grandmaster Title (1986), and held the title of Women’s World Chess Champion from 1996 to 1999. She is also the founding president of SPICE “Susan Polgar Institute for Chess Excellence”, which promotes chess education throughout the US, especially for girls.
